We loved listening to the sounds of all the different languages . We loved learning about other countries and seeing the colours of flags and traditional costumes .
Ms Finn baked some Irish brown bread and Mr Ó Coigligh taught corpoideachas as Gaeilge , Ms Slevin and Ms Murphy taught camogie skills .
We had a fantastic assembly on Friday . Rooms 9 and 10 did the Haka as Gaeilge, Room 11 sang about and displayed Flags of the world, Rooms 14 and 17 performed a song as Gaeilge, The Carney school dancers danced St Patrick’s Day and The Brush Dance,Room 19 sang and played tin whistles, Room 31 played tin whistles, The Green paraders sang their song ‘Green is the Colour’, the Banna Ceoil played and Frank led us all in singing Amhrán na bhFiann. Mr Galligan was super as MC and Mr Higgins was great on sound.
