The girls from Room 26 have been working very hard on projects about different countries for a number of weeks. They have been lucky enough to have had five lovely girls from Transition Year in Scoil Mhuire help them with their work. The countries researched were France, Germany, Lithuania, Portugal and Spain.
On Tuesday, 29th January the Room 26 girls went to Scoil Mhuire for a party organised by the Transition Year girls to celebrate the completion of the projects. They took part in a quiz based on information learned about each of the countries, they had lots of treats to eat and they waited excitedly to hear which group had won the overall prize for the best project. It was a very close competition as all of the projects were fantastic but Spain was announced as the winner after the projects were judged by students of Scoil Mhuire. The winning girls were presented with beautiful bracelets.
Everyone in Room 26 would like to thank the Transition Year girls and their teacher, Ms. O’Brien, for all of the interesting lessons and all of the fun that they had while working on the projects.
