The children and teachers from Room 2 went on a treasure hunt today in the hope of finding signs of summer. They ventured over to the beautiful grounds of St Patrick’s Church and visited the grotto there. They heard the crows cawing up in the trees and spotted leaves coming out of their buds. They saw daisies and dandelions daring to peep their heads out on the lawn but it was the cherry blossoms that stole the show! Ms Beggy gently shook a branch and there followed a shower of pink petals to the utter delight of the children! The verdict after the nature trail was that there are actually signs of summer out there, although it certainly doesn’t feel like it yet!
