March proved to be an extremely busy month in the school. 5th class had the opportunity to read an Irish novel. The story of Lisín and how she would rather be a pirate than a princess became enjoyable reading for the girls and inspired excellent art work.
Tráth na gCeist is becoming second nature to the senior girls in the school. During Seachtain na Gaeilge 3rd-6th classes competed together in a quiz through Irish, comprising 53 teams. The team work between the girls was excellent and great fun was had. Mrs Nally will present the winning teams with their prizes!
The 1916 celebrations and commemorations would not have been complete without a Dráma. The girls in 5th and 6th class together with banna and cór, were involved in an excellent performance of the events of 1916 – Eirí Amach na Cásca. Everyone’s hard work was evident in the high standard of the performance. Congratulations to all involved and thank you to everyone who came in to see the performance.
