Education for Sustainability is a non-profit social enterprise laying the foundation for a more sustainable future for all through climate education and action. It was founded with the mission to inspire awareness, to foster knowledge of sustainability issues and to encourage actions that promote a sustainable future for our planet. The girls in Room 27 have just completed week five of an eight-week series of climate literacy workshops with their facilitator, Stef. The ecological footprint of clothes and the ever-increasing business of ‘fast fashion’ were placed under the microscope in the latest workshop. Lots of conversation was generated and the girls had an opportunity to upcycle some old t-shirts into reusable tote bags.
