Kieran Fanning visited our school last Friday afternoon. He is the author of a number of children’s books and his most recent publication is a book entitled, ‘Enchanted Ireland‘. Kieran spoke to the two 5th Classes and told them a story. Kieran’s approach to telling the story was quite unique. As he narrated the story, the children had the opportunity to dramatise each of the scenes from start to finish. Thought-provoking questions were put to the children and the children rose to the dramatic challenge. With the use of mime, still image and conversational drama, the story came to life! We thank Kieran for his time and energy. We also thank Ms O’Hare and the staff at Antonia’s Book Shop for arranging Kieran’s visit! Here are a few pics!
