Our annual Book Fair took place on Tuesday 5th and Wednesday 6th November, and was hosted by Antonia’s Bookstore. Every class had the opportunity to visit the fair in the school hall. The theme of the fair was ‘The Salmon of Knowledge’, in honour of the publication of a book with the same name. The author of ‘The Salmon of Knowledge’ is Eithne Massey and its illustrator is Ellen Kane. In advance of the book fair, pupils had a chance to take part in an art competition and the winners were announced on Wednesday morning. Each winner received a copy of the book (signed by Ellen) and a book voucher. In addition, the two 6th Classes had the good fortune of spending some time with Ellen in our school library, during which she answered questions and talked about her experiences as an illustrator.
